First observation of the direct production of a non-vector state in e+e- annihilation The BESIII Collaboration has observed the direct production of an axial vector particle, χc1(1P), in electron-positron (e+e-) annihilation. The paper has been published in Physical Review Letters [Phy. Rev. Lett. 129 (2022) 122001]. This is the first experimental observation of the direct production of a non-vector state in e+e- annihilation process.

First evidence for the first neutral open-strange hidden-charm tetraquark state The BESIII Collaboration recently reported the evidence of a new exotic multi-quark state, namely Zcs(3985)0. It is the neutral partner of the charged tetraquark Zcs(3985)+ observed in 2021 at BESIII. This is the first candidate of the neutral hidden-charm tetraquark with non-zero strangeness, which marks a new milestone in exploration of the genuine properties of the family of the exotic multi-quark hadrons. Observation of resonance structures in e+ e- → π+ π- ψ2(3823) The BESIII experiment recently reported an observation of resonance structures in the e+ e-→π+ π- ψ2(3823) process, and also achieved the most precise mass measurement of theψ2(3823) state. These results have been published in Physical Review Letters [Phys. Rev. Lett. 129, 102003 (2022)].

Observation of the X(2600) state The BESIII Collaboration recently reported the observation of a new state, X(2600), using 10 billion Jpsi decay events. It was published online in the Journal of Physical Review Letter on July 19, 2022 [Phys. Rev. Lett. 129 (2022) 042001].

Probing CP symmetry with Entangled Double-strange baryons BESIII Collaboration reports a new method to probe differences between matter and antimatter with an extreme sensitivity. The results are published in the journal Nature on June 2nd 2022.

Observation of the Singly Cabibbo-suppressed Decay Λc+→nπ+ BESIII recently reports the observation of the singly Cabbibo suppressed (SCS) decay Λc→nπ+ [Phys. Rev. Lett. 128 (2022) 142001], with the data sets collected at the center of energy region between 4.6 GeV and 4.7 GeV.

BESIII reports the new measurement of the R ratio The BESIII Collaboration has measured the R ratio in low center-of-mass (c.m.) energy region, published on Feb. 10, 2022 online by Physics Review Letters [Phys. Rev. Lett. 128, 062004 (2022)].

Precise Electromagnetic Structure of Neutron Measured at BESIII The BESIII collaboration presented measurements of the neutron’s electromagnetic (EM) structure in the time-like region with unprecedented precision. The new BESIII results clarify the photon-nucleon interaction puzzle that has persisted for over 20 years, and a surprising periodic structure is observed on the nucleon effective form factors. The manuscript is featured on the cover of the Nature Physics issue of Nov.8th, 2021.

BESIII reports the most precise Ds+ decay constant in a single decay mode The BESIII Collaboration has reported the most precise Ds+ decay constant fDs+ in a newly published Physical Review Letters paper [Phys. Rev. Lett. 127 (2021) 171801].

Observation of the Zcs(3985) strange four-quark meson In the March 12th, 2021 issue of Physical Review Letters, the BESIII collaboration reports the discovery of an exotic multi-quark structure, dubbed the Zcs(3985), that is produced in the process of e^+ e^-→K^+ (D_s^- D^(*0)+D_s^(*-) D^0) at an e^+ e^- center-of-mass energy of 4.68 GeV. The Zcs(3985) is observed to decay to a charged strange-charmed meson plus a neutral charmed meson, i.e., D_s^- D^(*0)+D_s^(*-) D^0, and has a mass of 3.98 GeV/c2. This is the first candidate for a tetra-quark meson containing hidden-charm with non-zero strangeness. This paper was selected as one of that issue’s and "Editors' Suggestion" and prominently featured on the APS synopsis website.
